Why did the Hotel Cafe become 21+ when it had done very well as an all-ages venue?

They almost always had a packed house. Do you know if any of their shows are ever for under 18s?

  1. You don’t know for sure if they were doing well. Perhaps they had a packed house some nights, but that doesn’t mean they were making money. Do you know what the biggest revenues come from? It’s not the cover charge! It’s the AL CO HOL. Yep, drink sales. My guess is that you kids didn’t buy enough $5 bottles of water to make it worth their while.

    Besides, you have a lot of problems with the under-21 crowd trying to get booze, so they may have just wanted to avoid dealing with all that.
