I want to be a stay-at-home mom, please give me some money making ideas?

I need to make money, but I want to stay at home with my baby when she arrives in May. I only really need to make around $1500 or so, even $1000 would be great. I see these online ads and have read some of them, but I am so nervous. I sell Avon, but it’s not cutting it by far. What can I do, or what online companies can I get involved with? HELP!!! IDEAS!?!?

  1. Take in ironing…put notices up in shops and in newspapers locally..charge by the bag and deliver and collect.

  2. I think the only way you’ll make close to that much money while being a stay at home mom would be filling needs.

The lady above said laundry, but anything you’re good at will do. You can put up things on e-bay, or etsy.com is a wonderful site too. Even then you’ll have to put money into materials, and find the time to make/do things – and with a newborn that’s rough. (I was trying the same thing and I’m lucky if I can keep the house clean.) Best of luck to you though!

  3. I think investing in a good laser printer.. and making cards, announcements and invitations is also a good idea. If you are creative, people will definitely purchase. Start with friends and family members and then your business becomes referral based. A friend of mine started a photography business on the side.. now she is busy every weekend! As for selling on Ebay, that is always an option, but not the safest. Ebay and Paypal have the highest rate in identity theft, so I’d stear clear of there if you can help it. The last thing you want to see is your bank account drained while you are taking care of a newborn. Best Wishes!

  4. I make money at home selling items on the craigslist online. its free to post your stuff and there are all types of job offers like babysitting from home, etc.

  5. Babysit other kids. Most people charge $100-$125 a week. 2 kids and you’ll have $1000.00 a month!

  6. Try these companies: http://www.voicelog.com/careers/info.html , http://www.liveops.com/become_an_agent.html , they have phone agents that work from home, and the money is decent. I am considering doing one or the other, but haven’t made up my mind if I even wanna take that much time away from my baby yet. Good luck!

  7. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I’m a stay at home mom. I have three children, 9, 7, and 5 weeks :-) . I’ve been able to supplement my full time income as an independent consultant with Arbonne. It’s so easy and a lot of fun. I have the chance to work with my closest friends, stay home with my children, and still contribute to the household income. I never thought that I would be able to be a stay at home mom because I wasn’t sure I would be able to make enough money. Arbonne has given me time and financial freedom to do that. I would be happy to share more about what I do with you. Feel free to email me. Good luck!

  8. How about things around the house to save money? Try making meals from scratch and in large amounts, so you have leftovers. Things like dry lentils or black beans, rice casseroles and pasta dishes are super cheap and easy to make. The less pre-made foods the better; you wouldn’t believe the price difference! Sodas also add up quickly, and it’s much cheaper to buy frozen juice concentrates than cartons of ready made juice.
Can you cut down on any household bills, like the cell phone or cable? Just reducing them by a few dollars a month adds up pretty fast.
Good luck! Staying home with your kids is so wonderful and WORTH IT!!

  9. How about Mary Kay I could at least give you the information so you can decide. My Mary Kay director was my Avon lady she said it was too hard to make a profit switched to MK and was able to quit her job and stay home after having her baby she has earn her second free car in less then 5 years. I easily make $50 an hour so it depends on what you want to make if you work 3-6 hours a week you can make an average of $300 a director will help you customize you business to fit your needs.

  10. I think that you have to be very careful with sites that promises a fortune or easy money. I can speak for myself when I say something like that… Actually, there’s only one now that I can really trust, and it’s very good. It gives you a domain name (something like http://www.yourname.ws and an e-mail like personal@yourname.ws), and you only have to pay $10 / month. Of course, you start making money when you invite people to your network: the more people you invite, the more you receive. I’m now, and just after one month, making about $500, so I think it’s pretty good. The income will increase much more as long as my network starts to grow! You can reach $1000, or even $2000 in a short period!

You can see a short video that describes how this is possible here: http://gdi.alturl.com/

    Oh, and good luck! :)
